Former Defense Minister Paul Hellyer says that there have been communications between what he calls "the visitors" and members of the Canadian military and he derides the official US Policy that UFOs don't exist. Hellyer believes that a more open policy is what's needed to get humanity off of fossil fuels and to avoid leaving a "wasteland" to future generations of humans.

"These gentlemen believe that our planet is being visited by beings from another world... Regarding the missile shut-down incidents, [it's our] opinion that whoever are aboard these craft are sending a signal to Washington and Moscow, among others, that we we playing with fire; that the possession and threatened use of nuclear weapons potentially threatens the human race and the integrity of the planetary environment."
